Slice of Country

Slice of Country

A Slice in the Country was imagined as a simple, modern retreat set within an open rural landscape. We designed the space to feel warm, grounded and quietly connected to its surroundings, giving the family a place where they could slow down, unwind and enjoy a calmer pace of life.

We approached the build with a focus on natural materials, soft light and an easy relationship between the interior and the landscape around it. High quality timber, generous glazing and a warm, earthy palette create a gentle atmosphere throughout the home, while careful detailing ensures every room feels balanced and inviting. Large windows open the space to the fields and sky, bringing in natural light and giving the home a sense of openness and peace. Through thoughtful planning, precise workmanship and a commitment to long lasting materials, the finished space feels like a quiet haven in the countryside, offering a comfortable and restorative escape for the family.

"They worked with real momentum without ever cutting corners. Each stage was delivered on time, and the finished space feels solid, considered and beautifully put together."
